Combined Colleges Orchestra Concert

The Combined Colleges Orchestra (WGC, WEGC and Wellington College) is giving a concert in the WGC Hall at 7.00pm this Thursday evening 30 June. They are sounding great so it would be lovely to have a good audience.
Soloists are Emily Paterson, Gabriel Wee, and Alina Zhang, and there will also be a chamber group performing.  The orchestra is conducted by Andrew Atkins.
Come along to hear music by Vaughan Williams, Eric Coates, Rossini and Ravel.
Admission by Koha at the door.

Scholarship Mentoring Programme

Net NZ runs a scholarship mentoring programme and it is now open for enrolments.  Scholarship Tutored Classes involve a series of after-school and evening, structured weekly tutorials delivered during Terms 3 & 4 by experienced scholarship teachers using Google Hangouts and other online technologies (email, Google+, Google Drive). Cross Country Success

WGC took out the national Year 9 teams titles at the NZ Cross Country in Rotorua last weekend!  Libby got 2nd in the Para- Athletes Senior Girls Race.  Well done to all 11 runners who represented the school.
